half marathon results

I'm hoping some will find more time (especially me) to train some for a few more events. I found the half a lot nicer to the body than the full I tried last time. Something about NOT running through Umstead Park in the second half of the race. . .

The beer garden had all you drink LoneRider brews. I'm not a big IPA fan, but I enjoyed the calorie bomb. I definitely preferred the brown ale. .

Looking forward to training more for future events (last run was the VA 10 Miler - nothing trained between).

over the 10k 8:55 pace, 10k to the 10.2miler 8:48 pace and the last 2.9 was 9:42 pace.

Boss (new on Starz)

Boss just finished it's third episode and I'm impressed. While I'm underwhelmed by the plot and character development thus far, the foundation for a terrific show is there (think West Wing meets Sopranos). From the Uncle Tupelo cover as an introduction song to Chicago grit, this show gets Illinois politics and that's a worthwhile show in its own right. See episode one here.
