My personal favorite....
"Wilco's last album was uninspired"
Sort of like in Animal House where Bluto spills mustard on himself ... if the RearAdmir0l were a coke head and mustard was shame.

More Road Trip Addendai
So we drank on the waterfront for a good bit then took a cab downtown.
Some damn dirty hippy ran out in front of us, STOPPED, turned around, bent down to get his wallet. I was SCREAMING for the cabbie to run his pitchulie smelling ass over.
The driver just smiled & nodded and kept saying "Yessir. Yessir. Yessir."
So we keep driving and get downtown. These 3 gentlemen of Mexican origin were crossing the street and I tell the driver "You know you can run them over with no consequences. Mexicans dont have souls". Tzom & Natey Dub lose their shit.
Not sure of the entire conversation that occurred after that, but it involved raping mexicans and running over hindus to make sure they're dead and you dont have to support a cripple.
All in all, good times.

Quite drunk for most of the afternoon on Sunday.
At one bar, a dude was passed out on the sidewalk.... at 2 PM.
Most impressive.
Anyway, as we left that bar I re-enacted his passed out ramblings & rantings.
Natey Dub was screaming "NO NO NO -- dont make loud noises! You'll attract homeless & they'll try to take your money!"
Honestly, within 2 seconds, 2 homeless guys showed up.
Too funny.

Addendum on the Road Trip
Apparently Natey Dub was in pretty bad shape & now Tom & I are not allowed to visit the State of Maryland for a least a year, unless we perform a penance and go see Carrie Underwood in Nov.

Road trip completed!!!
So, as many of you know, I've been bitching for most of a decade because I missed Cheap Trick playing at some kind of "Alive after 5" event.
Well, Tzom & I hopped in the car yesterday morning, cruised up to Baltimore, drank like fish ( 2 out of 3 of us vomited -- but only one because of drinking) and then the magical event transpired.
Imagine if you can, 3 really wizened old men, one dressed in skin tight leather , re-living the glory days of the 70s.
Oh, and then imagine they put out a new album recently, so instead of playing little of anything you know ( and less of what you like), they play all new stuff
Anyway -- the concert sucked. Natey Dub, our 3rd compatriot who learned a valuable lesson about trying to keep up beer for beer with someone who outweighs him by 100 pounds, is a HUGE fan of harder edged metal, so Cheap Tricks poppy lyrics & cougar soothing melodies weren't really his bag of tricks, so he passed out.
The ride home -- left @ 9 PM, made it about an hour before T Bone had to hurl -- asince he never gives head using condoms, he was confused why he tasted latex. Turns out, he had swallowed one of the rubber band for his braces, and the acid reflux of such was HORRIBLE -- puking made all the difference. We hit a traffic jam north of Richmond that added about an hour to our journey, rolled into home @ 3:15 AM.
All in all, quite a fun time, even if the concert sucked.

When animals attack (not really)!!!
Last evening after my aunt got here, she and my wife took Hailey outside to play in her sandbox. I lingered behind to do some clean up, and when I stepped outside I noticed the following off in the little garden area beside the porch:

It was munching on some grass and weeds in the flower bed and seemed quite content to hang out there. Needless to say, I was a little nervous about a wild animal hanging out with us, so I told my wife (who hadn't noticed the fox yet) to grab the kid and get her indoors (I'm pretty sure that foxes are just animals that live to spread rabies). Once inside, we let Hailey know that the fox was outside, and proceeded to watch it from the door; it hung out for another 5 minutes or so (tried slamming the door to scare it off, but that didn't seem to work), then ran off behind the buses and back into the culvert.
At this point this brings the tally of wild animals in my yard up to:
1) Rabbits
2) Otter/Beaver/Something like that
3) Deer
4) Red Fox (not Sanford, nor son, I'm afraid; I don't need a zombie Redd Foxx performing blue while my child is playing in her sandbox)
5) Hawk
I'm beginning to believe that 'The Shirley Irwin' is really an ark disguised as a house, which then makes me some kind of nouveau riche Noah.
When the rain begins to fall, the sign is: Carolina, countersign: Sucks...that is all.

I know I'm not alone
Every now & then, especially if I'm sick, I'll hack up these little white/yellow gobs of stuff that, hands down, are the worst smelling thing on earth.

invasive species including zombies
So I've been thinking about this for a while concerning nonnative animals like Nutria, Snakeheads and Reticulated Pythons. So Nutria are 'here to stay' but one or two severe winters would see entire populations freeze to death. They've documented that in Maryland - that they gather en masse to stay warm penguin style and wildlife officers have to clean up carcass mounds once it warms up - so there's a very northern limit to their roaming and the native beavers are largely unaffected although the native muskrat is. North of the mason-dixon, the muskrat will be just fine.
Northern Snakeheads. There's a breeding population in the potomac, as long as a couple of natural and manmade dams/lochs are breached, they're restricted there and we will probably see a sport fishery develop around them. They've found individuals in NC lakes, but no evidence/proof of a 'breeding population' yet.
The pythons in Florida: If the habitat has means to support snakes of that size, wouldn't there already be 20foot long snakes in the everglades? OR will the combination of alligators and the occasional icing of the citrus groves be enough to eliminate the import snakes over time (provided there aren't a ton more reintroductions?)
It looks like the lion fish is here to stay. It's roamed up to NC and down to Brazil now. Carribean businesses are trying to generate a delicacy surrounding the invader, but our ability to complete eliminate more reliable fish stocks probably won't be noticed on these guys.
For that matter- the same thing may happen with zombies anyways, eh? If a few pockets of humanity to manage to avoid that first wave, wouldn't the reanimated/infected eventually run out of resources and crash? Wouldn't a couple of island nations be able to survive and adapt?
Of course there is the idea of zombie sharks. . . That'd be some freaky shit.
I may be the only one with interest in wildlife, but I thought I'd put that out there.

Gee(08:10:13): yes
Kevin(08:10:23): awesome
** Meant to say AvP, but Gee got the gist of what I meant. And yes -- a guy at work said that there were pre-historic civilizations of immense technological sophistication that managed to leave no evidence of their existence behind.

End of an era ????
So Boing made it up 90% of the stair last night and then just stopped.
And didnt meow .... at all.
I picked him up and he felt like he weighs 6 pounds -- basically skin & bones as far as he's concerned.
Not breathing in a labored fashion or through an open mouth, he's not deaf, his pupils dilate when light shined in, he is preening himself and he ate a can of food in about 10 seconds flat --- all of those signs point at things not being "bad".
I think the fact he's 17+ is a contributing factor to him looking like he feels like crap... we'lll know more after a vet visit this afternoon.

Funniest thing to EVER happen to me.
In the restroom @ a stall -- now, everyone should know about the hang ups I have about public restrooms -- especially people taking drinks & things in. So, I'm guessing that the following is all just a misunderstanding of etiquette and how to make casual conversation.
Im standing there next to this Asian contractor -- he's like maybe a tal 5' 10".
Im concentrating on my mission of making the toilet biscuit spin around when I hear him say "You are huge."
Of course I immediately react, thinking he's looking @ my junk.
Instead, he's standing there staring up at me and gesturing Up & Down for "tall", not hands apart for "HUGE"
I started laughing my ass off & havent stopped yet.

Some music I have discovered this summer
Just when you thought you had seen the best Cypress Hill could bring.
This guy is from Fayetteville AKA Dreamville AKA Fayettenam and he is the first guy signed to Jay-Z's RocNation. His name is J Cole.
This is guy another guy I would keep my eyes on because I expect he is going to do some big things. Wale pronounced like Wall - A like saying goodbye in latin.

Bench Press Chart
I have been checking this chart out all summer. As far as I can tell it is fairly accurate up to 5 rep max. After that it is anyone's guess but i find it hard to believe that anyone who bench presses 225lb ten times can have a 1 rep max of 293lb.

Pretty sure I became a Democrat this weekend
Geronimo and his two helpers showed up and moved a truckload of mulch in about 4 hours.
And trimmed up all my trees.
And weed-eated the back yard.
And hauled a bunch of shit to the driveway to be thrown out later, when the next group of not quite legal residents arrive to put on the roof.
That and more for about $200.
So as of now, I'm all about some illegal immigrants.
Viva Obama!!!!!!!!!!
