Live blogging Flight 93

9:19 Apparently terrorists are hell bent on crashing an airplane.
Mark's parents tell him to take control of plane, wish him luck.

9:23 Our fellow Americans, great patriots all (here on referred to as OFA,GPA), have just voted to F the Arabs in the A, and to take back the plane. Pray for them.

9:25 Much like on Bad Boys w. Sean Penn, OFA,GPA are about to lob cans of soda at the Arab attackers.

9:32 Oh crap. Todd Beamer is saying the Lord's Prayer w. the controller. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna lose it.

"Let's roll!"

9:34 OFA, GPA are about to storm the cockpit. HFS.

So not to digress into how fucking stupid Truthers and Loose Changers are, but the idea that our government, which cant even seem to get the story of why 8 AGs were fired, would be competent enough to keep the greatest conspiracy of all time absolutely iron cladl-y tight is so obscenely preposterous to defy jackassery.
I may believe Penn & Teller are pagan idiots, but...

And the fact that the people who honestly truly belive it haven't risen up in armed revolt against what they believe is a murderous regime shows them to be either liars or cowards. F them. OFA, GPA showed what it really means to stand up, like Ludacris w. the big shoe. The old ones say they descended from Hercules himself. Their roar was long and loud!

9:42 The storming has begun. Take that, you "insurgent" fuckers.
9:43 One jihadi fuck down. Eat some boiling water bitch!
9:44 Cockpit open
9:46 Fuck. United 93 down.

I do apologize for the vulgarity of this post.
Maybe if I live blog Saw I wont get so emotional.

Live blogging the Final Four!

4:30 - Talked to the Guar. He's extremely excited as he got a picture with OSU's prettiest alumnus of all time:

Parents

So I am in the moderately enviable position of having a dead father. Now, I did miss out on knowing my father as an adult, but that allows me to put him on a pedestal of near perfection, even with the minor foibles of him being kind of racist. He was at the Martin Luther King speech, at the Lincoln memorial, but that was just in case they needed to shoot the looters.

This lucky lot in life also allows me to avoid the penetrating gaze of a father's eye upon my every flaw, especially in the company of others, and the withering criticism that comes with The Burning Eye of Father-on. It sees all!

I mean, what kind of truthiness would get piled on my ass: balding, single, living with animals that shit in my house...I mean, come on, did we lose a war!
"I did not fight and bleed in the paddies of Nam so you could let Big Dave take a heaping steamer in your living room!"

Now, don't get me wrong. I still have a mother who waited until I was 33 to mention I was slightly competent and moderately skilled at such mundane tasks as changing a pipe on a sink.

Oh well, as I tell my mother when I want to get off the phone: I gotta go eat.

Out.

1006 Sullivan - still a legend

The dorm director back in the 1006 days still works for NCSU and still remembers the choas. Methinks nightmares still haunt her. Anyhow, she's very surprised that we're 1) not dead from a goat-gone-wrong prank and 2) actually contributing members of society. Especially the Rear Admiral.

Now, the Gimp is going to Chi-town
The Uar and Chuck Amato are going to the Final Four, courtesy of the Gimp and his abilities at gambling.

So if Big Russ can overcome his va-hin-ta like weakness to pollen, he might join in.

Otherwise, its back to watching 300.

Oh, and 300. The Sidekick's spoose has journeyed to Las Vegas, so we knocked out 1 viewing of 300.
Now I'm back at the casa for #2.

O ye men who dwell in the streets of broad Lacedaemon!
Either your glorious town shall be sacked by the children of Perseus,
Or, in exchange, must all through the whole Laconian country
Mourn for the loss of a king, descendant of great Heracles.
He cannot be withstood by the courage of bulls nor of lions,
Strive as they may; he is mighty as Jove; there is naught that shall stay him,
Till he have got for his prey your king, or your glorious city.
More upbeat post related to the host. Should be runnable again on flat/controlled surfaces in a few weeks. Will double check this with the PT guy next week. Leg feels good. No time for dips, but as the infant grows my guns, delts and traps grow with him.

Nothing like the 22 lb son-press.

a different workday morning

820 hours meet with orthospecialist for review of recovery.
900 hours dive into Kroger to get lab supplies for determining colligative property coefficient in general chemistry.
920 spring and sprint through classroom as fast a gimp can stripping down leftover AP lab hardware, centrifuge, spectrophotometer, stock solutions, etc.
930 lab start after I pull the most recent edit off the printer (ran copies directly from printer to avoid traffic jam in the lounge, sorry printer toner gods, please don't jam in return later)
1020 put the cap on 40 minutes of chasing high school sophomores around to get them to bring water (exactly 200 ml measured with a graduated cylinder, as it says in the instructions ______; not the 10 mL we don't have three hours, use the 100 mL; open the carburetor to make it hotter, not close it. Fire doesn't work without air; use the balance to measure grams of solid; put the thermometer in the water to measure its temperature; etc) to a boil three times.
1030 strip down the leftover glassware and metal from the general lab, pull out material for the AP lab.
1040 set out 7 solutions, leads, electrodes, voltmeters, transfer pipettes, pipette pumps and steel wool at central station for AP to use.
1045 walk AP through procedure, making edits for differences between author’s instructions and materials available on this campus. Repeat a couple of parts repeatedly along the way.
1210 wrap up chasing AP students around, catching small errors and promoting good practices. Several solutions of copper sitting out can be confusing, but luckily for me, several students manage to NOT read the labels on the bottle and then walk to me with a blue solution in their unmarked beaker: “which one is this?” I have a 1 in 4 chance of guessing it correctly. There is also a 1 in 4 chance of it being the one they were to be using at the given moment. Acknowledge potential for student work to completely contradict the Nernst equation. Dream of coffee.
Get to sit for a moment asking everyone where the solution of unknown concentration is so that students can locate it for use. Repeat cries of “where’s herndon’s solution?” Repeated answer for them “it gets around” several fill-in-the-blank’s momma jokes trail the statement. Tee hee hee.
1220 watch the last of the glassware be put away while gnawing on some delicious harris teeter chicken ($4.99 8 piece)

Contemplate the repeat of the morning double period lab . . .

1225 go get coffee. . .

Antecedent Workout I mentioned last night

I originally put this in a spreadsheet, because its impossible to remember while working out. This was orignally created for my friend who is a marathoner that doesn't lift much legs, but wanted to do everything in an hour because he had to run an hour as well. We did these matchups because they were close together in proximity at the gym. We didn't necessarily do them in order. We did them as they were available as to not waste time. This is ridiculously hard, but fun and challenging to try. Weight on these has to be dialed down because you would pass out before you finished.

Our boy Peotr.

Illegally garnered info from Science News:

People who suffer damage to a brain area that generates compassion, shame, and other social sentiments apply coldly rational thinking to hypothetical moral dilemmas, even those that involve terrible personal loss, a team of neuroscientists finds.

In contrast, people with healthy brains or with damage to other neural regions usually permit their personal concerns to override rational responses to such moral quandaries, say Michael Koenigs of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke in Bethesda, Md., and his coworkers.

The new findings, published online and slated to appear in Nature, support the idea that emotional, intuitive reactions orchestrate moral judgments of people with intact brains.

"Human beings can judge [moral dilemmas] on the basis of reason alone, of emotion alone, or of a mixture," says study coauthor Antonio Damasio of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. "Life is too complicated for it to be any simpler than that."

Koenigs' team studied six people with damage limited to the ventromedial prefrontal cortex, a brain region previously implicated in social emotions.

The researchers compared patients' responses to 50 hypothetical nonmoral and moral dilemmas with the responses of 12 adults who had no brain damage and of 12 people with brain damage that didn't affect the emotional structures.

In one nonmoral scenario, volunteers were asked to imagine that they were farmworkers running a turnip-harvesting machine. They decided whether to take the machine down one path to harvest 20 bushels or down another to harvest 10 bushels.

The moral dilemmas included impersonal and personal situations. In an impersonal case, participants imagined that they were driving a runaway trolley approaching a fork in the tracks. They decided whether or not to direct the trolley toward a single worker on one track to avoid killing five workers on the other track.

In a personal scenario, volunteers were asked whether they, as civilians hiding with comrades in a war zone, would smother their own crying babies to avoid detection by enemy soldiers ordered to kill civilians.

In about two-thirds of the responses to the nonmoral and impersonal situations, members of all three groups endorsed the greater good, such as killing one worker to spare five others.

A disparity emerged on personal judgments, however. In half of the responses, people with prefrontal damage advocated behavior for the greater good at their own expense, such as smothering one's crying baby to keep enemy soldiers away. Within the other two groups, only one-quarter of responses reflected that pattern.

The researchers propose that prefrontal damage dilutes emotional reactions to harm that one inflicts on others. People with such damage thus solve moral dilemmas by following social conventions for helping as many folks as possible and hurting as few as possible, rather than by considering personal feelings.

"This study vividly illustrates the way that emotions animate or color moral judgments in healthy people," remarks psychologist Jonathan Haidt of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. "In real life, the loss of social emotions is disastrous for moral judgment and action."

Treat of the Gods

So what do I reward myself with after a hard work out?

Oh yes Slurpee with requisite Candy Straw!

Soooooo Tasty Tasty

_________________________________________________________________
Edit by Rear Admri0l
NEWSLINK

The Foreign Candy Company, Inc.
Kids know 7-Eleven is a true candy destination, and the first in the neighborhood to carry exciting new products. The Foreign Candy Company, with its popular items like Mega Warheads® Sour Candies, Rip Rolls™ and Paint Brush™ Spray helped drive sales of Foreign Candy’s products to new levels at 7-Eleven.

To improve inventory turns and create more shelf space, the company reduced pack count sizes on a number of items. Foreign Candy also developed a pilot test for the “Kids Candy Center” at 7-Eleven to help attract the attention of young customers.

Perhaps the most exciting news was the development of a completely new product exclusively for 7-Eleven. For a new twist on Slurpee® beverages, Foreign Candy created the Rips™ Slurpee Candy Straw. Introduced in February, the sour strawberry flavored candy straw is currently the No. 1 selling non-chocolate item in 7-Eleven stores, with more flavors and varieties in development.

I actually had a cherry one yesterday. The problem is that there is only one 7-11 in the area that sells them, so I am confused as if they are so popular why are they not in every 7-11.

Workout Complete

OK Boys. Here's the Rundown of my workout this evening.

Begin: 8:19
Clean and Press - 3x5 @ 135 OY!
Clean from Hang - 3x2 @ 135 (Never really tried this before, probably won't again)
Squats - 3x10 @ 135, 185, and ass to heel at 135.
Flat Bench - 4 sets @ 135x10, 225x10, 245x6, 225x8 (Getting very tired at this point)
Incline Dumbell Press - 3x10 @ 60, 65, and 70 (Laid off a bit, having problems)
Pullups - 3x10 @ +25, +10, +0 (Not feeling great so didn't try for maximum weight)
Upright Rows - 3x10 @ 25# dumbells (Nausea setting in)
Rotated Back Raises, Roman Chair situps, and Regular situps - with 10# ball, 3 sets of 10 each.
Rest 5 minutes, need sugar but only have water. (Not good times)
Dips - 3 sets, 10x50, 8x80, 6x100 (This amount of weight was a bad idea as I felt weak and this cut off the little amount of oxygen I had)
Skull Crushers - 3x10 @ 55, 45, and 35
Preachers Curls - 3x10 @ 55, 65, and 75 (Really feeling lightheaded)
Assortment of situps and leg raises from a prone position with 10# ball.
Finish 9:21

Tried Turkish get up with Olympic weight bar now that most people aren't in the gym. This actually takes some practice to figure out where your hand should be on the bar. It definitely shouldn't be dead center! If doing it R-handed it should be right of center, L-handed, left of center. Practicing this with the bar helped.

One other misconception I had about this. I thought the pressing part would be the easier of the two, its actually the get up part. Pressing whatever weight one handed is very difficult and tricky. If I was able to press it, I was able to get up with it once I was locked out. This exercise requires very strong forearms to keep it balanced through the presses. I don't really have these.

I was only able to do 65# at the end of my workout. Anything more than that was too unstable. Fresh I might be able to do 10-20#s more but I'm not really sure. I think this is a matter of practicing the exercise and getting good at it quickly once you get used to it. I'll continue to play around with it a bit more to see what happens.

I usually do 30 minutes of cardio (running or elliptical or both). However, today I was working out by myself and overdid it a bit (which I sometimes do). So I skipped it. I did my workout fairly quickly so my heart rate was up most of the time and hopefully provided me some cardio benefit.

All in all it was a good workout. If I had someone else to workout with I probably wouldn't do the exercises so quickly. (This is an invitation.)

Not quite the same role as "Coach"

A towering, demonic-looking monster (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) brought out of hibernation by Emperor Wang steals the show with his brief appearance, muttering all manner of obscenities in a very unmonster-like velvety voice. Example: Flipping the bird at the title character and grumbling, "Up yours, Gordon!" The monster's fate is a major plot point.

Alrighty. Greatest. Post. Ever. Ever ^2.

Because you asked for it.

My Opening Post

Hello gentlemen. The workout will begin soon. Update to follow this evening. I plan on doing pullups, dips, and a turkish get up with as much weight as I can. This is only a win win, because if I horrifically injure myself maybe we will get handicapped seats on the floor at the Georgia Dome.

Bt the way... The Final Four is on like Chinese Majong! I am getting more excited by the minute.

Now, we move on to ....

All right, F all lawyers in the A.

So my denouement for the evening was going to be

But apparently they are now gone from Google and YouTube.

Scott Tenorman must die.
Fat Butt and Pancake Head.
Urinal Deuce.

I mean really. That could be a page in itself.
That is why I posted a link to the Bit Torrent downloads for South Park.
Enjoy.

This one goes out to all my homies...

Living in R-town, drinking some Bud Select at the Hooters. Beeches.

How could I forget - Greatest SNL skit... Ever?

And some of the runner ups.

I need to get this out there now.

The blog tells me what labels to use and I use them. I don't know what sort of Bayesian algorithm it uses to come up with the combination of scooters, vacation, and fall, but that is what it tells me to put and I put it.

I ASSUREDLY DO NOT ENJOY WHEN OTHERS ON THE BLOG GO AGAINST THE WISHES OF OUR BLOG OVERLORD AND CHANGE THEIR LABELS (for the love of Xenu, didn't you see '2001')!

As you can see, I follow the edicts set forth by the blog and the blog rewards me with postings; I will not have some blasphemer destroy the sanctity of my blogosphere for their own gains.

My next step will be to declare blog jihad.

That is all.

Going through old posts

as if we've been in business for months/years...

Couldn't help but notice the Admir0l linked to 'Holy Diver'; well there's another RJD song that should be put out there and here it is:

You'll thank me later.

Your 'Big Game' MVP

I'm waiting

for the part where preparing oneself for the impending bearpocalypse is stupid. I'll have you know that I own, not one, but two of those suits (just in case).

As mentioned many times before...

Colbert is ripping off the idea of bears being a threat. F him.
And he has been given a Cease & Desist
(Which he ALSO stole, ie, being "On Notice")
And he also stole being "Dead to Me".

But one man, more than Ned Arnel or Doris Kearns Goodwin, one man was so creative he not only stole an idea, but inverted it 180 degrees so that it was HUMANS wearing the suit and it made them STUPID.

Update to the General Workout - Week 2

15 Roman chair sit ups
10 dips or push ups.
Beer break.
10 Giant Box jumps -- week two of the box is going fairly well.
Beer break.
2 Clean & Press 135# -- Two beeches.
Beer break.
X attempts @ pull up -- so using the Giant box, legs crossed, toes on box I can do about 4 pullups.

Rinse. Repeat.
Usually 3 times or until I run out of Beer.

Addendum to the General Workout -- Buying G-uar's Super Protein Powder would honestly truly really be a complete waste of money until I can go two weeks without eating Bojangles or Mac & Cheese. Much like Anna Nicole's son graduating high school - not gonna happen.

I've decided to set a target date of May 1 for a cholesterol screening.

300!!

So, in some form or fashion, The Sidekick may have happened to come upon a copy of a film, sort of like Pi in that it is based on an integer, which may or may not have been burned to some form of optical disc. If there is interest in possibly watching the possibly acquired movie on a Thursday this coming week, send him a message via the Inter-tubes and will see what can be arranged.

"Magua, why, why do you love the Internet?"

When Reggie Love lies tea bagged under Magua's scrotum, all Duke players shall know they suck.

Duke Fiction

So I think this can, with some work, lead to a great movie. If I ever find the time, Pt II, "A very Dooky situation" shall follow.

Christian Laetner and Brian Davis are driving to Shavlik Randolph's house, where his mother is cutting up his food and he is icing his feet.
They first start talking about how you can soon buy beer with 15% alcohol in NC.
They discuss what they call a Cheeburger Cheeburger in France. "It's a Gran Fromage!"
"What do they call Char Grill?"
"They don't have Char Grill in France"
As they arrive at his house, they decide not to use shotguns – too messy
As they ride up the elevator, they discuss giving Coach K's wife a foot massage
Laetner is of a mind that he can make ANY woman have a big O from a foot massage
He tells him how Coach K threw Jeff Mc Ginness out a window for just looking at his wife.
"No shit!"
"No shit. You can't trust that mother"
They walk into the Randolph house. Moms is on the couch, Shavlik is icing his feet, Bro is behind the counter.
Brian Grant "Do you know who we are? We are business associates of Coach K. You remember Coach K, don't you? Now, I'm gonna take a wild guess. You're Shavlik, aren't you? What ya eating?"
Shav: "Cheeburger Cheeburger."
"I heard they got some tasty burgers. I ain't never had one myself, how are they? Uuummmm, that's a tasty burger. Me, I can't usually eat 'em 'cause my wife's a vegetarian. Which more or less makes me a vegetarian, but I sure love the taste of a good burger. You know what they call a Cheeburger Cheeburger in France? Christian, tell'em"
Laetner "Gran Fromage"
"Shav, you know why they call it that?"
Shav: "Because of the metric system?"
"Check out the big brain on Shav. You'a smart motherfucker, that's right. The metric system. You DID go to Duke for 3 years. What's in this?"
Shav: "Diet Caffeine Free Pepsi"
"Mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down with?"
To Moms: "You, Martha Stewart, you know what we're here for?"
Bro "It's under the be –"
"I don't remember askin' you a goddamn thing." (to Moms)"You were sayin'?"
Moms "It's under the bed."
Laetner flips the two locks, opening the case. A big sign on the front of the case says "Four Year Scholarship". Laetner just stares at it, transfixed.
Laetner : "Wow, mine was only for $35,000 a year"
Shav "I just want you to know how sorry we are about how fucked up things got between us and Coach K. When we entered into this thing, we only had the best intentions –"
As Shav talks, Davis takes out his gun and shoots Moms three times in the chest, blowing her out of the sofa.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did that break your concentration? I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue. I believe you were saying something about "returning for a fourth year. Whatsamatter? Oh, you were through anyway. Well, let me retort. Would you describe for me what Coach K looks like?"
Shav “What?”
“What country you from? “
Shav: "What?"
"What" ain't no country I know! Do they speak English in "What? What did you learn in three years at Duke ?"
Shav: "What?"
“What kind of degrees do they give to retards like you? English-motherfucker-can-you-speak-it? “
Shav: "Yes."
"Then you understand what I'm sayin'?"
Shav: "Yes."
"Now describe what Coach K looks like!"
Shav: "Well he's ...he's...black --"
" -- go on!"
Shav "...and he's...he's...tall --"
"- does he look like a bitch?"
Shav "What?"
Davis' eyes go to Laetner, who smirks, Davis rolls his eyes and shoots Shav in the shoulder. Shav screams, breaking into a shaking/trembling/spasm in the chair.
"Does-he-look-like-a-bitch?!"
Shav (in agony) "No."
"Then why did you try to fuck him like a bitch?!"
Shav (in spasm) "I didn't."
"Yes ya did Shav. Ya tried ta fuck him. You ever read the Bible, Shav?"
Shav: "No, I went to Duke."
"There's a passage I got memorized, seems appropriate for this situation: Numbers 22:29: And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. And the ass said unto Balaam, “Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? Was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.”
The two men EMPTY their guns at the same time on the sitting Shav.
Bro: "...goddamn...goddamn...that was fucked up...goddamn, that was cold-blooded..."
Then suddenly the bathroom door bursts, and Pops comes charging out, a silver Magnum in his hand.
Pops: "Die...die...die...die...die...die!"
Pops fires six booming shots from his hand cannon in the direction of Laetner and Davis. He screams a maniacal cry of revenge until he's dry firing.
Pops: "I don't understand –"
Pops is blown off his feet and out of frame by bullets from Laetner and Davis.

...the 39-year-old former Playboy playmate was taking a number of drugs, including methadone, anti-anxiety drugs and others. After performing an autopsy, it became clear, Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental overdose of medication.
Anna Nicole Smith injected a drug into her left buttock days before her death … she was complaining of pain in her left cheek. She developed chills as she went to the Hard Rock and developed a fever of 105 degrees.
Dr. Perper says when his team went back and examined Anna Nicole, he found multiple injections in the left buttock and it appeared a needle perforated something under the skin that caused an infection. The needle perforated an abscess and caused the infection that led to a high fever.
Anna did not take methadone the day she died, but there was evidence she had taken it several days earlier.
Dr. Perper concluded was combined drug intoxication, including anxiety and depression medication, valium, ativan and antihistamine. She also had chlorohydrate, which was the major component in her death
None of the drugs in Anna's system were enough to kill her by themselves. It was a lethal combo.
The infected abcess in her buttock contributed.
Dr. Perper says the death was accidental. It was not a suicide.

HOW IN THE THE EVER LOVING HOLY BE-JEEBUS DO YOU GET An F-ing ABSCESS ON YOUR ASS!!!
Come on, she was being f-ing treated by Dr. F-ing Pepper. She was already dead, and just didn't know it.

Oh, someday when I save up $3200....

Then, we can shoot the kettle bell from a mile away.

We can argue about who saved rock.

I personally think GNR buried the stake in glam rock, and that Bush and STP are the underappreciated god-children of that event, but were overshadowed by Pearl Jam & Nirvana.

But... one must always look back through the mists of time, to that far away Avalon where one man stood tall against the evil shadow monsters of glam rock.
And skin face masked mutants who may or may not have been Sven Ole.
ONE MAN, wreathed in flames, rode the tiger.
Ronnie James Dio.

Dont get cocky Tenacious D. Your Cease & Desist is in the mail.

F You, Colbert.

And by paying tribute, I mean taking his helmet off, dropping his shield and kneeling.

No longer "threatened", only a 3at.

The Prebuttal - I said movies, not actors.

Sven Ole Thorsen.
Jason Lee.
A tie of Zach Galligan, Steve Gutenberg and the Baldwin from DC Cab.
Matt McC, except for Wedding Planner and How to Lose a Guy in 10 days.
Bruce Willis - except for Hudson Hawk.

Discuss.

GRINDHOUSE!!!!

Hell yes!

Grindhouse get an R Mar. 22, 2007

Source: JoBlo by: Dave Davis

It's just a couple of weeks before the hordes of old-school horror fans finally get to sink their teeth into the massively anticipated Tarantino/Rodriguez double feature GRINDHOUSE. And it seems safe to say we'll get our money's worth.

For starters, the flick package has been granted an 'R' rating for "strong graphic bloody violence and gore, pervasive language, some sexuality, nudity and drug use", which is a compelling enough argument to see any movie, really. It's not known how much (or any) of the reportedly controversial footage, such as an obese man eating a baby, needed to be excised from the finished film, but regardless of the edits we'll see it in uncut glory when the DVD arrives later in the year.

Also, the total running time for the whole magilla (two full movies and several faux trailers) is a whopping 3 hours and 5 minutes.

And just in case you didn't know, here's the official synopsis: Grindhouse – noun – A downtown movie theater - in disrepair since its glory days as a movie palace of the '30s and '40s - known for "grinding out" non-stop double-bill programs of B-movies. From groundbreaking directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez comes the ultimate film experience: a double-bill of thrillers that will recall both filmmakers' favorite exploitation films. "Grindhouse" will be presented as one full-length feature comprised of two individual films helmed separately by each director. Tarantino's film, "Death Proof," is a rip-roaring slasher flick where the killer pursues his victims with a car rather than a knife, while Rodriguez's film explores an alien world eerily familiar to ours in "Planet Terror." Welcome to the Grindhouse - it'll tear you in two.

Rebuttal to the great movies.

5. Mallrats - 'snootch to the nootch' - nuff said.

4. The Passion - luv snuff films, although the 'comeback' at the end is a real downer (although it does open the door for sequels).

3. Citizen Kane - Welles camera work in this movie is phenomenal and he gives a tour-de-force performance in the titular role.

2. That episode of Seinfeld with the rubber ball filled with oil. I know it's not a movie, but eh.

1. Anything starring Matthew McConaughey (although consideration must be paid to 'Dazed and Confused' simply for his nailing of the role of Wooderson).

So, as the Mac guy would say, touche'.

Top 5 greatest movies possibly ever.

Conan has to go on the List, possibly at the top.
Flaw - followed up by The Destroyer.

Aliens. Flaws - the motherhood angle and the fact is is followed up by two stinkers.
Stinkers which could have abso-fucking-lutely rocked.

Empire. Only the fact it is followed up by Ewoks and now preceded by three pieces of craptasm make it not #2.

Shogun Assassin. Hmm. Maybe #1 ?

Tie - Fellowship & Robocop.

So maybe its me...

Can ANYONE who figure skates ever, really, truly, be "on their game"?

I kind of doubt it.

Over/Under

On the number of days (or hours) it takes you to tire of this...the current line is 3 (I'll leave it up to the reader to decide on the units).

Okay, so here is the general workout

15 Roman chair sit ups
10 dips
Beer break.
10 Giant Box jumps
Beer break.
1 Clean & Press 135#
Beer break.
1 attempt @ a pull up

Rinse. Repeat.

All good things...

Start with a dip machine, a Molon Labe ballcap, and a 6 pack of nature's finest refreshment: my abs.
Thats right beeches. If Kenny Rogers kidnapped a band of Tennessee hillbilly children...shit, I hate redundancy. Well, if he went to a 24x7 WalMart in Nashville and hijacked a minivan full of lil chirren, they would make a movie about it, with my abs driving a race car that was actually a Transformer that turned into Chuck Norris. And it would be called "The Rear-Ab-mir0l". And I wouldn't wreck like Tom Cruise or Ricky Bobby, cause wreckin is for pussies, and my abs are made from steel, not vagina.

Actually, if my abs were made from Grace Jones, the would then BE Steel Vagina, and that would make me 1 step closer to being as buff as Ahnuld, cause Sven Ole Thorsen banged GJ, and we all know that Ahnuld starred in a lil flick w. Sven Ole (no, not Mall Rats. Shut up with all the Kevin Smith man love.)
Conan, beeches.
So as I said, all good things make me Conan.

Let me just say

I bet Yahweh would cure Elizabeth Edwards of the Kanker if only her husband would give a thumbs up and detach his thumbs from his index finger.

He can probably sue himself for mal-thumbance.

Lets see - things I have thought about in the past day

Lets see - things I have thought about in the past day that made me put enough effort into creating and sending email, which I will now no longer do, since I have a new storage facility for my brain.

War w. the iRan. Oh well, maybe next November.

The 150 pound kettle bell - that is one big mamma-jamma.

The Giant Jumping box. HFS, it makes my arse sore. But I love it.

Oh, the Clean and Press. I Love my Barbell!

Squirrel Catapult.

“I don't see what you people are complaining about. If the squirrel didn't want to take a ride then it should never have hopped into something so clearly labeled as a "squirrel catapult." “

My buddy Gene, his son told his teacher "Boys are tough. Girls are pussies." He's 5.

The Numa Numa dance. How did I miss this?

Oh, the big Giant Sword for Russ! I cant wait!!!

Greg Oden and his cheap shot.

I had to repost, since I posted G's name, email address, and work # on the page. Bad Etiquette!!!
