MUST learn to program in next couple months!!!

Blood test results came back a WEEE bit high.

Triglycerides

What are triglycerides?

Triglycerides are the chemical form in which most fat exists in food
as well as in the body. They're also present in blood plasma and, in
association with cholesterol, form the plasma lipids.

Triglycerides in plasma are derived from fats eaten in foods or made
in the body from other energy sources like carbohydrates. Calories
ingested in a meal and not used immediately by tissues are converted to
triglycerides and transported to fat cells to be stored. Hormones
regulate the release of triglycerides from fat tissue so they meet the
body's needs for energy between meals.

How is an excess of triglycerides harmful?

Excess triglycerides in plasma is called hypertriglyceridemia. It's
linked to the occurrence of coronary artery disease in some people.
Elevated triglycerides may be a consequence of other disease, such as
untreated diabetes mellitus. Like cholesterol, increases in
triglyceride levels can be detected by plasma measurements. These
measurements should be made after an overnight food and alcohol fast.

The National Cholesterol Education Program guidelines for triglycerides are:

NormalLess than 150 mg/dL
Borderline-high150 to 199 mg/dL
High200 to 499 mg/dL
Very high500 mg/dL or higher

Thinking About Hanging Up My Boots

So, I tried to take another PhD class and I dunno, it made me depressed. That's not the feeling you should get, right? The instructor was so bad that he made subject matter I do understand into something too hard to follow (and I'm probably 4 years older than him) (and I speak English). I think this is the semester where I quit being a student, which implies I must give up the PhD dream.

class blogging

So I'm at a tech workshop to beef up my ceu's, ensuring my continued licesure. A couple of history teachers use this platform to run homework discussions. They post prompt and historic video clips for the kids to comment on as a homework assignment. Any of you guys to that too? I run homework help groups via facebook, but not a required set like these folks are doing.

Eh, I feel much better about my lack of technical sophistication/experience as there are folks struggling to find the tabs and the like.

I do hate the mac notebook keypad. Or at least this one. Almost every sentence was multiply typed to get all the letters in the words. . .

BTW -- we're @ the beach this week.

Played my best round of golf EVER -- who would have thought that being sober would make such a difference?

Anyway - hope all is well. I'm getting back in the hot tub (which is basically nothing but sweat and urine by now)>

My goals for the summer

Every summer I try to give myself goals. Things to keep me occupied. Two years ago I had juggling as one of my goals. Didn't happen. This summer has mostly consisted of working out, playing Call Of Duty 4, spending time with my wife and getting a post published on texts from last night.

All of them have happened with the exception of the last one. I even got a word published on Urban Dictionary today.

If I have your number you will be recieving a LOT of texts from me this week. We are some funny bastards and surely ca come up with something that can make it on the site.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Update

One more goal for the summer
I am going to try to smuggle booze to my brother. I need ideas on how best to get him some hooch without being caught. If caught they will "throw it away".

Current way most 'packages' are getting to our guys are in powdered soap boxes. Cut open the bottom remove soap. Place in large plastic bottle and replace as much soap as possible. superglue bottom back on and then ship in box with other sundry items like tooth paste, and deodorant. Sounds doable but I am going to keep thinking on this for a little while longer.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Update number 2

ok after talking to my mom. "i'm going to try to smuggle booze to **** in Iraq. You want in?" "Absolutely NOT" she told me that I couldn't send him porn either. Now I have another goal.

Funny for the day.

A drunk stumbles out of a bar with a key in his hand.

A cop on the beat sees him and approaches.
"Can I help you, sir?"

The drunk replies, "Yesssh! Sssomebody ssstole my
carrr."

The cop asks, "Where was your car the last time you
saw it?"

The drunk answers, "It wasss on the end of thisssh
key!"

The cop now realizes he won't get a rational answer
from the drunk. About that time he looks down and sees the
man's wiener hanging out of his fly. He asks the
drunk, "Sir, are you aware that you are exposing
yourself?"

Momentarily confused, the drunk looks down at his crotch,
and without missing a beat, he loudly exclaims,

"My girlfriend's gone too!"

Manhole Open

That is all

Woo hoo!!! Week 11 !!

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

I'm part of a ring?!

So I got a call on the celly at 11:15 last night. The caller asked, "Is this Tommy?" So I said, "yes." He then proceeds to tell me 120 are ready and I can go by CVS to get them. And that CVS opens at 9:30. Then he hangs up. The number is unlisted.

I think I'm a mule or something. I'll update if I get a call back for not going to get the junk. If you find my body with the intestines cut out, you'll have an idea of what happened.
