I just creamed my pants.

My new footware!

Stress fracture, bleh. Couple that with a gout outbreak and double ugh.

Welcoming myself to the world of gentlemen, gentlmen.

So this weekend, going to a golf course to get fitted for a set of clubs for the 6'4" casual duffer.

After that, I believe I'll be getting a 1 hr lesson.

All I know is that repeating "Nice, lady-like swing" is going to be a big part of it.

Any Sports Night Fans in the House

Bored and watching Partenthood on NBC...noticed Peter Krause is one of the stars. Love that guy. I have to admit, though, I made the NCMapleLeaf watching season 1 of Sports Night and, well, neh. I remember it being a spectacular show in ~1999 but in 2010 it seemed solidly average. The converstaion starter for today is this: 1) is my memory of Sports Night tainted or 2) was Sports Night a revolutionary style that subsequent copy cats improved upon. Argument 2 makes me think of Generation X...very average for the genre but it deserves a special place for being the first of the genre.

I believe we have been had.

Gee googled the story of the troll and the autistic kid , and it appears to be an urban legend.
Regardless -- funny shit.

I think I've come up witha good generational guidepost.

If you believe Bryan Adams is Canadian -- you're old.
If he's married to Mandy Moore -- you're not.

Every human being on Earth should be made aware of this

So whatever we did last night, we did something right -- the little man slept from midnight to 4 AM .

Its amazing how good I feel.

What is the Protocol?

So, does etiquette dictate a response for an acquaintance who does you a favor bordering on corruption? I got a traffic ticket and, full of Hail Mary gusto, hoped I could get out of it by merely showing up at court and begging. My lawyer-neighbor suggested that I threaten to take the matter to District Court, thereby wasting so many man-hours they'd just let me off. Turns out the traffic court attorney is a former suite-mate of Laura J. who recognized me and dropped the charges. Aside from being empowered to ignore all traffic laws going forward, am I obliged to send a gift basket or something?

Happy sumthin sumthin day, cunts.

Young Money - Roger That

Gotta love the lyrics here.
"...Flow tighter than a dick in the butt." and "...Is that why you get more head than shampoos?" and the best part is that is only the girl's verse.

Awesomeness

WHY AM I NOT WATCHING HIMYM ????

Lorenzo Von Matterhorn was born somewhere in Switzerland
in the spring of 1974. The exact date and circumstances of his birth
are unknown since he was immediately placed in a basket and tossed in a
river. Young Lorenzo rode the pristine Alpine glacial melt waters for
hundreds of miles until a young Milanese woman discovered the basket
along the banks of the river Po. Some say it was this first early
journey to Milan that fueled both his love of exploration and fashion.
The woman would raise Lorenzo as her own, naming him Lorenzo after her
father and giving him the surname Von Matterhorn to reflect his Swiss
heritage as well as his uncommonly large penis.

Shortly after his family moved to New York City in the late 70’s,
Lorenzo began rescuing stray puppies and other cute animals. As someone
who had been abandoned himself, Lorenzo recognized both the pain of
loneliness as well as the power of hope. One evening, while nursing a
particularly cute Cocker Spaniel back to health, Lorenzo noticed the
rest of his brood howling in unison. Curious as to their abilities, he
spent the next several months developing their voices and then entered
them as a musical act in a local festival under the name DOG STEVENS.
They took first place, and went on to become one of the most successful
animal musical acts since The Beatles.

At an early age, Lorenzo was diagnosed with phallumegaly, or bigness
of penis disorder. As a result of his illness Lorenzo’s sense of
balance frequently shifts, causing short-term memory loss. Lorenzo has
been known to walk away from situations and not call again, and
shouldn’t be held accountable when he does. Tired of ordering custom
underwear and furniture, Lorenzo has pursued penis reduction surgery a
number of times only to be told it’s too risky.

Review of 2012

Knowing, minus Cage, plus Cusack

Five word review of "Caveman"

I feel terrible, but that was all kinds of fucked up (the formatting that is). Don't know if you looked at it, but there were probably 100 (br) (with <> instead) in there that were screwing with the page.

Had to nuke it from orbit, it was the only way to be sure...

As an aside, hoping to catch a Cubs Spring Training game when out in AZ at the end of the month, wheeeee!

is that I can solve a Rubik's cube in 1:40 if no students bother me with questions.

Interesting

Try this slide show about the Clark Family. That's Clark, as in Clark County, NV (aka Las Vegas). Considering the wealth and unrestrained personalities, I wonder why I've never head of them before.
