So I've killed many many many many lawnmowers in my lifetime ( and I want to give kudos to the Sidekick & Sweet Dee for trusting me with theirs).

Anyway ... If your lawnmower will turn over but not keep going, there is a diaphragm that helps keep a vacuum , to keep drawing gas into the engine.
Thanks to the Federales, refineries started requiring more ethanol in E87 which is corrosive to plastic parts.

So gas that sits for a while will apparently separate into its constituent parts and then fuck up your lawnmower.

The solution -- use E93 or drain your engine after every use.

Fucking gubbermint.

Starting to feel my age

One of my classic childhood memories is running down to my parents room ass-crack early in the morning, waking my folks up, and my dad rolling to the side of the bed, putting his elbows on his knees and just sitting there for a few doing G_d knows what.

Not only now do I cough like my father , but I've found myself lately doing his morning ritual on the edge of the bed. Not arthritis, not in pain, not hurting, just slow and creaky and just... older.

I've noticed my hands are starting to just be tight and my knuckles are just getting ... older.

Anyway... only 3 days until Warrior Dash!!!!

Caleb and I were talking about tailbones in cats - he wondered about how cat tails were so bendy. So google images gets a surfing. Then we talked about human ancestors had tails and we have remnants. Over his head, but still interested, so I looked for human xrays for the tailbone.

We found this blog with x ray images of a bizarre sort. I'm not sure if I'm impressed by the nerve of the radiologists to do this OR the quality of the machine used if the images aren't doctored. The depth of field is pretty impressive if they're real.

He was in most of my classes in high school (the honors level). Well, until he got All-State in Football (QB, S), and then they put him in the regular classes and we only met in Spanish 4 Honors.

Buy the DOW Jones Index or QQQQ when the Dow Jones/gold ounce drops to ~3? At the time, when the ration was ~20, I got some guff for it.
